Painting with a difference!!!! January 22nd 2010, was another eventful day for the children studying in the schools in Noida as they came forward to paint for Humanity, Peace and Environment to mark the Republic Day function which was held in the Delhi Public School Noida. The day was chilly; however to our surprise it did not affect the attendance of the children.

Almost 40 schools participated from both the private as well as the social sectors with some 220 children who expressed their ideas through paints.

The chief guest for the occasion was Mr.Dinesh Jain, Joint president, UFLEX and President Noida Management Association who inaugurated the function and the competition was judged by Col.Ashok Pandit and the Chairman of Setu Foundation, Mr. Ravi Kaul.

The purpose of the competition was to create awareness towards the education of the children from the weaker sections of society so that they could also lead a life to build a great nation. This is an annual affair which is conducted by SETU Foundation to help the budding painters.

The yearly shield for Best Painting Competition School was awarded to Evergreen School of Noida for the second sucessive time .

Finally the event came to an end and lunch was distributed to all the children and teachers after which all the participating schools were given a small token of appreciation which was created the children studying in the Setu Shiksha Jyoti Kendra for their participation in the third annual painting competition.
