 Shiksha Jyoti Scholarship Scheme

      The Setu Shiksha Jyoti Scholarship scheme :

  • Shall cover the Girl Child who has been inducted into formal schooling after going thru the “Shiksha Jyoti” Program 

  • The Girl Child should be from a family where the family income does not exceed Rs 60000 per annum

  • The Girl Child should have been admitted into a recognised school – Government or Private as part of the “Shiksha Jyoti” Program.

  • The scheme shall cover Ten (10) Girl Children from each centre run by SETU or its associate.

  • This scheme shall cover all centres of SETU

  • The scholarship shall be available on a monthly basis, however shall be withdrawn in case the Girl Child drops out of School.

  • School Fees
  • Cost of Books and Note books
  • Two (2) sets of uniform
  • Community Coaching Fees
  • In addition on successful completes of 12th standard Examination a one time bonus Scholarship of Rs15000/-(Fifteen Thousand only) shall be granted to help the Girl child to prepare and sit for competitive examination for higher education.
 Documentation Required

  • Proof of Admission into school
  • Girl child's Identity Proof
  • Proof of Residence (Ration Card/Voter Identity Card/ Bank Statement/ Certificate from the Village Pradhan etc.)
  • Proof of income from employer (in case  of self employed a self declaration shall be sufficient and in case of a domestic help.)
  • Photograph of the Girl Child
  • Photograph of the family
  • A progress report of Girl Child    
  • Certificate from the school confirming continuity of Girl Child
  • Proof of school fee paid
  • Provisional Certificate from school indicating completion of 12th standard alongwith Examination Enrolment card as Identity along with Photograph
  •  In addition an Undertaking from the parent that the Girl Child shall not be withdrawn from formal schooling
Methodology
  • Associate or Project Coordinator shall submit a list of eligible Girl Children to SETU along with the necessary documents listed above.
  • SETU shall reviewed the documents and if found in order release the scholarship amount according to the plan of disbursement finalised.
  • Associate or Project Coordinator shall submit a quarterly report of the progress of the Girl Child and the scholarship amount shall be given in advance at the beginning of each Quarter to the Associate.
