Who we are
Setu is a movement to Save and Empower The Underprivileged.
Setu's Board comprises
8 (Eight) Trustees. Each hold Setu's interest before everything else, and share a firm belief in values of public trust, collective responsibility and transparency. They also oversee working of the organisation with regular revIews. In principle, members of the Board ensure complete independence in policy making and flexibility to the the Managing Committee

at Setu People are the core of this foundation.
Be it the Trustees who are the guardians of
Setu's MISSION, or the members of its Managing
Committee also called the Setu Management Board SMB steer
the organisation to its designated goals, or the employees and
volunteers who use their commitment, time and skills to enable Setu's
work or our NGO partners, people who make extraordinary change possible
through their work. not to forget The Advisory Committee. All of these people make
Setu what it is today - a true people's movement for the rights of India's children. |
| Setu shall continually attract, retain and develop a
cadre of talented, committed professionals who come from all walks of like and
backgrounds. Chartered accountants, post-graduates in Social Work,
communications professionals, bankers, HR specialists, salespeople, MBA-types,
geeks, artists, writers, foodies from every ethnic, linguistic, religious and
idealogical persuasion. This diversity, coupled with an unrelenting commitment
to building a culture of openness, transparency, accountability and democracy
within the organisation are what make Setu what it is since it was founded. That
organisation culture, the daily experience of making a
tangible difference and the opportunities for personal and professional learning
and growth are what attract and keep people in jobs that pay a fraction of their
market value. |

Our Structure:
Setu is governed by a leadership structure made up of two bodies, a Board of Trustees, and the Management Committee headed by the
Chief Trustee. In principle, members of the Board serve in their individual capacity, and not as representatives of any organisation or institution, to ensure complete independence in policy making. The key role of the management committee is to provide direction and leadership to the
organisation, evolve and implement strategy, create relevant organisational policy and efficiently run operations. |
